Severe Flooding in Delhi, Geeta Colony’s Cremation Ground Closed for Three Days

Flood In Delhi: Heavy rains and severe floods in Delhi, the capital city, have presented inhabitants with a variety of difficulties. Currently, the Yamuna River’s rising water level raises the likelihood of more flooding. The water level has surpassed 208.05 meters in Delhi. Due to the release of water from the Hathnikund Barrage, the Yamuna River is flowing above the danger mark. Low-lying areas have already been submerged.
In light of the situation, the cremation ground at Geeta Colony in Delhi has been closed for three days. The rising water levels have made it unsafe and inaccessible. This closure has caused inconvenience to the local residents.
The situation is being constantly watched by the authorities, who are also making plans to reduce the effects of the flooding. The affected people’ security and wellbeing are being prioritized. Citizens are urged to exercise caution and cooperate with the authorities during this challenging time.
Delhi Traffic Advisory:
Due to rise in water level of Yamuna and consequent inundation of low lying areas, traffic movement is diverted on some roads. Please follow the advisory to avoid any inconvenience.
