The Yamuna River continues to exceed water level Delhi remains above the peril mark, performing in the suspense of road movement on Old Loha Pul. The Yamuna River in the public capital has continued to flow above the peril mark, reaching a height of 206.44 meters at 1000 pm on Sunday. Due to this increase in water position, the old Yamuna ground( Old Loha Pul) has been suspended from 2215 hrs on Sunday, affecting the route between Delhi and Shahdara, according to the advertisement by the Northern Railway. This situation has raised enterprises of a flood tide- suchlike script in the public capital and near regions.
For the once many days, the water position of the swash had been swimming around the peril mark of 205.33 measures after reaching an each- time high of208.66 measures on July 13. The Central Water Commission’s( CWC) data shows that the water position rose from 205.02 measures at 10 pm on Saturday to 205.96 measures at 9 am on Sunday, and further increased to206.42 measures at 9 pm.

The Hindon River in Noida, a influent of the Yamuna, also endured a rise in water position on Saturday, performing in the submergence of several houses in low- lying areas. As a preventative measure, people from similar areas were vacated to safer places.

Since July 13, the Yamuna River had gradationally retreated from its each- time high, but there have been minor oscillations in the water position over the last many days. On July 18, at 8 pm, the water position dropped below the peril mark after remaining above it for eight days. On July 10, the swash traduced the peril mark at 5 pm, leading to expansive flooding in Delhi, causing water- logging and flood tide- suchlike situations in colorful places.
The India Meteorological Department has prognosticate heavy to veritably heavy rain in the corridor of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand until July 25, which may further impact the water situations in the region.
On Sunday, Delhi Jal BoardVice-Chairman Saurabh Bhardwaj audited the Wazirabad Water Treatment Plant( WTP) and assured that the Delhi government has constructed dikes and mounts at vulnerable spots to help flood water from entering the water treatment shops.
