The #Chandrayaan3 spacecraft successfully underwent a planned orbit reduction maneuver. The retrofiring of engines brought it closer to the Moon's surface, now to 150 km x 177 km.

Chandrayaan-3: Closer to Moon, just 163 km away to the moon surface.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is hoping to make a successful soft landing on the Moon with the launch of Chandrayaan-3. Now ready for its August 23 moon landing, the spacecraft. India is currently on course to become the fourth nation in the world to accomplish this incredible milestone, joining China, the United States, and Russia.
The mission was successfully launched on July 14 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, using the GSLV Mark 3 (LVM 3) heavy-lift launch vehicle. It should touch down on the moon’s surface on August 23. India is making its third journey to the moon and its second attempt at a soft landing on the moon’s surface.
