CBIC said: Puja Items are Exempted from GST.

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has clarified that no GST is levied on Gangajal and other puja goods.

In the midst of reports that 18% GST is being levied on Gangajal, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs has issued a clarification indicating that no GST is levied on Gangajal or other puja goods.
According to CBIC’s most recent tweet, such puja goods are free from GST.
