BSE Sensex slipped near 66600

The stock market started the first trading day of the week on a weak note.  

BSE Sensex slipped near 66600 with a decline of nearly 100 points. Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and Kotak Mahindra Bank witnessed a drop of up to 2%.

Share Market LIVE: The stock market had a flat start on the first trading day of the week. BSE Sensex slipped near 66,600 with a decline of around 100 points. Similarly, NSE Nifty also reached the level of 19,700.

Heavyweight stocks witnessed a downfall as pressure built up on the metal and FMCG sectors. Shares of TATA Steel and JSW Steel tumbled, along with RIL and HUL. However, L&T emerged as the top gainer. Prior to this, on Friday, the Indian markets recorded strong gains, with BSE Sensex closing 887 points lower at 66,684.
